| 22 Mar 2004 | Drathe shnizu@hot...com> | I know I have already posted but... I wanted to again having spent more time looking over your work and give you some input of my favourites. ‘Ashes to ashes,’ It’s a clean and well-balanced drawing, the fact there is no background keeps the image bold. Despite the hated look in the bird’s expression it is actually a beautiful creature to behold. Love it, nice technique for its tail feathers. Simple and very effective. The painted version… *Bites his lip* its well done, but I prefer the pencil simply for its clean lines. I also very much like the chines dragon. It is simple, clean and sharp for the eye to take in. You have a very good hand, steady and smooth I hope you draw some in this style. Though if you were to draw this dragon again maybe give a little curve to its lowest leg. To keep it in form with the others. ‘Hanged Witch’ is wonderful, in my opinion you have really done your self proud. She looks good, the way you have done her hair is perfect and well done. It looks like hair, has motion and body to it. The flower looks very attractive and draws you eye to its smooth bold petals. The Dark back ground with ethereal white light brings her out and gives it that mystical feel. Her face is pretty, has a distinctive racial quality to it. Though for some constructive criticism to help you in the future, in my opinion her ear might look a little better suited to her if the shell of it was a little wider, not bigger you have it’s scale right. That and her neck, the throat is perfect, the skin pulled and twisted by the rope, but the back I think would be easier on the eye and make her more feminine if it was curved inwards more. If you look in the mirror you will see what I mean. But other than that perfect! I love it. Please though… I do not want you to take what I have said as bad. Your work is good and I VERY much want you to improve and produce more! I hope to see here soon. Drathe / John Jéssica A. Paixão replies: "Erm, sorry for the late reply, but life took away my time and only now I`m checking back here. Thanks for all the comments, my friend, I really appreciate it." | |
