Must agree with the commenters, Kit. Kenders don't steal. They just "borrow" it. Or it some how manages to "fall" into one of their many poutches. But don't Ever accuse one of stealing. tas would be hurt deeply if you did that.

I love kenders and read DragonLance my self so I know how dangerous Kenders are....especialy Tas....hehe

Stealing! I...I can't BELIEVE those two! I mean it's not like the highlord accidently dropped the treasure or it fell into their hands or anything! That's STEALING! Stealing is a very bad thing. Oh, and that dragon highlord's armor is perfect. I know because I met a red dragon highlord once. His name was Lord Verminaard. Do you want to hear about it? No? Oh, well. And Spoinger is right. I can be VERY dangerous. And the background is very pretty. I like this picture a lot!

Ask polity kender

The Kender race is illogical. There is no way a race of perpetually curious children could survive on their own. They’re eternally curious to the point of being reckless, they take that which isn’t theirs, they’re barely able to protect themselves. Kendermore would have been overrun by Kobolds the year it was built. Can you imagine trying to get Kenders (I use the "s" at the end as a sign of my disrespect for the entire notion of Kenders) to build a house or set up a storefront or be a farmer?
As far as the "Kenders never steal" bit? Social norms are defined by communities. If a horde of Kenders came through a town peopled by anything other than more Kenders and "handled" other peoples shiny things without their permission, guess what, by the laws in that town the Kenders are thieves, despite what intentions they might have had. On top of all that, the race was given the ability to Taunt as the spell. Weis and Hickman have done some good things but to invent such a self-centered and silly race didn’t help their resume towards a lifetime achievement award. Try and play a Kender in my gaming group and bring an extra character sheet.
