I like your work, especially the wings! You have photoshop, have you played around with the layers option yet? It makes coloring a drawing much easier since you won't mess up your lines. It would also make inking your lines easier. These day I rarely ink drawings on paper. After I scan them, I add a new layer to the image, and then trace my own drawing in it and work on the lines till they're just right. Then I add layers under that, one for each part of the drawing, like skin, hair, wings...and then start coloring. That way, if you want to change the color of anything, you can do it without worrying about the rest of the image. Sorry for the long message, especially if this is stuff you already know!

:-) Paula Jo Endicott replies: "Thanks for the tips! I haven't really used the layers, no. Before I posted this, I was working on a piece on my boyfriend's computer (he's the one with the photoshop), but then he reloaded everything and neglected to back up the directory that I'd been working out of so I lost it! I was so sad because I'd been toiling on that thing for weeks... oh well, life goes on."

You're doing rather well at "expressing yourself". Well, carry on then.

What a lovely gallery! Your characters are adorable. 2 The faces have so much personality and expression. Your winged figures are especially lovely. Beautiful work!

:-) Paula Jo Endicott replies: "Thank you! I'm flattered, especially coming from someone who's acheived such realism in her work."
