I will swim the river to the sea and find the ocean that is me,
No longer lying in a field of dreams, but chasing clouds to new horizons.
So I promised myself.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a little rusty with the acrylics..

You are very good with acrylics for being rusty. This would be an interesting piece with or without the weird figure.

I like how the landscape is all very normal looking, and very beautiful, but then you look at the figure and go "what the?" and it makes it all very much like my dreams, where the seem to be normal enough until this oddity shows itself.

Interesting work.
