'He was cloaked and booted as if for a journey on horseback; and indeed though his garments were rich, and his cloak was lined with fur, they were stained with long travel. He had a collar of silver in wich a single white stone was set; his locks were shorn about his shoulders. On a baldric he wore a great horn tipped with silver that now was laid upon his knees. He gazed at Frodo and Bilbo in sudden wonder.'

First of all, I like Boromir, I don't care what you say, I just do. There, now that that's settled, I would like to point out some things that bother me. I think he has proportion-problems, his nose seems a little odd and large, and the back-ground looks bad. On a brighter side, I like his tunic, his hair, an that statue to Boromir's right. Oh, and I don't know what a 'baldric' is...

\Bal"dric\, n. [OE. baudric, bawdrik, through OF. (cf. F. baudrier and LL. baldringus, baldrellus), from OHG. balderich, cf. balz, palz, akin to E. belt. See Belt, n.] A broad belt, sometimes richly ornamented, worn over one shoulder, across the breast, and under the opposite arm; less properly, any belt. [Also spelled bawdrick.]

there you go. and, if you are going for realism, your pic is a bit off, but I don't really see it that way...it's sort of cartoonish, in a very regal way. but you did miss the baldric.

Hello there, Mr. Pincushion! I suppose that baldric won't protect you from any arrows....

Finally! People always say 'what?!' when I say I like Boromir, I don't why? This is a painting right? Very good job.

Your picture is great...Except for the foreshortening. It makes his head look like a bobble-head doll, like its bigger then the rest of his body.
