SciFi and Fantasy Art RustingWorld - A new project by Luis Filipe dos Reis Peres

You´re looking at one of the first images from my new big graphic novel called 'Rusting World' wich i´m planning to have finished in about a year from now if all goes well. So right now, i´m not telling much about it, except that it´s a fantasy story set in a city of towers above the clouds with a very Jules Verne kind of look, but it´s not sci-fi. The composition and perspective is perfect, as are the choice of colours. You have a perfect sense of balancing light and dark and using them to set off a vivid, entrancing scenery. I don't know whether you have ever seen an anime called 'Laputa', but this reminds me somewhat of its style. It would be very interesting to see the finished gaphic novel simply on the basis of this wonderful picture. Excellent work
