| 8 Jan 2000 | A. Elaine Van Der Wall | Loading...Awww!! What a cute little creature! (Seriously, if monsters didn't smell bad I'd keep them as pets. But then I'd have to get a different bed for them to sleep under, or clean out my closet so they could hide in it...) As for manga, American manga DEFINATELY looks funny... but not in a bad way. Just in an American way. (Wait... is that bad? J/k!) Like in PSM magazine, where they all have four fingers, which bugs me for some reason, even though four-fingered characters are certainly valid, but... uhm... I'm babbling. | |
| 25 Mar 2000 | Viktor Eikman | Loading...This is an immensely cute pic. The warrior just arrived here and is intrigued by the local fauna, which seems just as intrigued by him. In this scene, the warrior and a local herbivore attempt to overcome their mutual shyness. That's what I gather, anyway. You have some very good works in this gallery, warm and friendly, unlike mine. | |
| 29 Jun 2000 | Heini Hätinen | Loading...this is still my favourite picture in your gallery =)
i think this "anyone save for the japanese shouldn't draw manga/anime"
is mainly because now practically everyone are drawing manga/anime and people are getting esick of seeing it everywhere.
i agree with luis that we should create our own identity and drawing style, and that is possible when you're drawing in manga style.
i'm still trying to figure out my style, but it's definitely influenced with manga, elfquest etc etc.

| 22 Nov 2006 | Anonymous | Loading...Well, as my teacher once said "If you don't know what it is, poke it, and if it looks gross, poke it with a stick." But the creature's adorable, and the whole picture is interesting. I like the expression on the guy's face. | |
| 12 Jan 2007 | Njna Kroner | Loading...THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THIS SENTENCE:
"but i prefer to leave that drawing style for Japan. We need to create our own identity."
damn... I am so glad that there are people who think like me... :] | |
| 2 Feb 2007 | Em R Betzler | Loading...Hahaa! That's the funniest looking little creature I've seen all day! Not that I see many, but I'm sure this would be up there if I did happen to see many. Excellent job, nice concept! | |
