Tag As FavoriteComment		This is my masterpiece. This is the result of my first serious committment to a project. This is the piece that has changed my attitude towards art and made me passionate about it in a way I've never really been. Never have I put so much planning and study into a picture. Never have I invested so much careful thought and emotion. Concepts began in June of 2003. After 42 pages of sketching, I came up with my final design. It took me from mid August to mid September to draw the final version. I had to finish it before school began, so unfortunately, I didn't get to do a background. The digital camera didn't do it justice, and a lot of the detail is hard to see (it's 24 by 36 inches), but the other view shows some of it.

Only one picture on elfwood has touched me more then this one. Its amazing! It takes a lot to almost make me fell sad about the person (or, as in this case, fantasy creature) in pictures. But this picture really is great!

This is beautiful, sad, and moving. The detail and emotion is profound and jaw-dropping. I can stare at it for hours and find so many little details. The swords, the dissipating wings, his face, and the light (is it a flower?) levitating above his clawed hand is just amazing. <3
