Your stories are extreamly well-formed. You said you read old SF novels. But do you consider anne McCaffery's Pern series "old" your imagination pulls the reader in just as her's does. I hope you post more stuff!!!!!!!!

Compared to some of the things I like to read, Anne McCaffrey's work is pretty new. But I am more than familiar with Pern, and much appreciate the compliment.
Most assuredly, I will be putting up more work-I'm working on some Swords and Sorcery stuff right now, just for Wyvern's Library.
In the meantime, you can visit my sf and horror work at Planet Moderan, and a wider selection of varied genres at moderan's vine.

So, thanks for coming and checking out my stuff. Fields of Red is required to be first-person because it's MY story, and i mean that it's mine not only because i wrote it, but because the youyng scared soldier in that story is ME.
Fear and loathing... this is a good story, please stop by and let me know when you post NR5.
PS- nice shirt you got up there. Thanks Tim-enjoyed/enjoying your stuff, glad you enjoyed the visit.

Hey Duane, I just re-read "Bait" and it's odd that sometime you can read something before a big event in your life and the next time you read it it's totally different. HOW is it that your stuff does that? HOW is this fair? I think it is not thank you very much mr. really-cool-sf-stuff-man. lol. Keep it up mister!

:-) Duane Pesice replies: "Thanx, Jessica...I remembered my username after I emailed *chuckles*...as said there, this piece led to a number of big events in my own life, though I know not where inside me it came from. perhaps it just has that quality, I dunno. Thanks again for stopping by."

Duane, love, you write the most delicious critter stories. I just sent someone over here - someone I met who listed Elfwood. :21hrugs:: dunno if he will show.

I've taken the NaNoWriMo challenge. The novel is going - along with my sanity.

hugs,

- B

:-) Duane Pesice replies: "*s* The NaNoWriMo challenge? That's a novel in a month if I'm not mistaken. Ewwwwww....and what sanity?"

Greetings, strange alien creature,

It's good to find you again, still posting. I had wondered under which stone you were now hiding. I'll try to make the time join you and your other assorted critters, but now I have to rush off to Heathrow, to meet another ex-vines denizen, one Lavinia, whose book I am publishing. How's that for a run-on sentence?

See you about,
babash

:-) Duane Pesice replies: "Well, that's certainly good news..I hope it is all that you dreamed."

Ah, good, good, good. Who doesn't love that cuddly little character Cthulhu. You should write something about Brown Jenkin... Dreams in the Witch House was one of my favorites.

:-) Duane Pesice replies: "LOL! *looking at Cuddly Cthulhu on desk* Actually I have, and am. Jenkin is one of my favorites as well. I'm doing an article on his origins...seems there was a little animal on the Isle of Man that he may have been based on (you can find him yourself if you look on Google for the *talking mongoose*). And one of my avatars at the rpg site panhistoria has Jenkin as a familiar *s* though I call him Spot so as not to be too obvious *grins*"

Thank you for not making me feel like I am the only Mythos based horror writer on AuthorsDen. You have some strong work over there and wondered what stories you have here as well.

OMFG. I haven't read a word you've said, and I love you already. Just the mere idea that someone would actually attempt to write Gonzo Cthullu . . . is too shocking for my puny human mind to withstand.

All these years later, I find this site. I'm not an elf. Just a fellow writer. I did indeed meet Michael Hall (Babash) at Heathrow that day. Spent nearly 3 years in England. His company published two of my books, and all was well until the boss disappeared from his boat somewhere in the Pacific--presumed dead. A looneytoons sadist took over the company. I escaped with my life--no royalties & not one penny for three years work. But I'm alive. Hope Michael is, too.

Amazing to find this artifact from the past. Hope you are well, Duane. I'm a Mainer, too--grew up in Waterville. Not many of us around. Central Maine is a "stable demographic." Now I'm on the coast of California. Life is good.

Hope this finds you well and happy.

Lavinia
