My offering for the Elfwood Goddess Project: the Welsh goddess Arianrhod, star goddess, sky goddess, goddess of reincarnation, Full Moon goddess, Keeper of the circling Silver Wheel of Stars, a symbol of Time or Karma. Medium: Painter 6, with Wacom Tablet. As all my pictures are, downsized drastically from the original. Staci found this interesting invocation to the goddess: (Hope the html works here!)

INVOCATION TO ARIANRHOD

O Arianrhod of the Silver Wheel,
By all the many names men give to Thee-
We, all Thy hidden children, humbly kneel
Thy truth to hear, Thy countenance to see.
Here in the Circle, cast upon the Earth
Yet open to the stars-unseen, yet real-
Within our hearts give understanding birth,
Our wounds of loss and loneliness to heal.
Isis Unveiled, Isis Veiled, Thou art;
The Earth below our feet, the Moon on high.
In Thee, these two shall never be apart-
The magic of the Earth and of the Sky.

She’s beautiful, love this picture! Is she the same goddess as Hecate? Just wondering because Hecate is the goddess of the moons, also known as Cerriddwen (among many other names)... just curious!! Love the invocation by the way! Blessed Be!

:-) Norma Peters replies: "Thank you so much. 2 Yes, I believe that they’re the same."
