For Kristin Rausch's Lunar fanfiction, 'If Love Were Only Part of the Equation.' This is the *finished* version of an unfinished painting by Nash. When first seen in the story, it is a work in progress. The portrait is of Mia, in her 'phoenix dress,' and consumed by flames. Rising behind her is the phoenix, possibly symbolic of her rising above all her obstacles. All of Nash's feelings for her are shown through this picture. Medium: Corel Painter 6.

The character, Mia, is derived from the Working Designs RPG, Lunar, the Silver Star.

Beautiful!I envy your beautiful art gallery! And whoever it is called "Ella" who also posted comments under "drak ny" &
"blabla" is totally envious of this picture and if you were
"disgusted" with it,why did you come back TWO other times?!
I love the phoenix!Thank you so much. 2 As for those comments above: Some people love to complain. It makes them feel better about themselves.

This reminds me very much of the cover of a book written by Mercedes Lackey. I think it's called Phoenix and Ashes, but I could be wrong. I love the black and red-gold color scheme.Thank you. 2 I'm not familiar with the book, but I just looked it up. It's interesting to note that I painted this picture two years before the book was published.

I know it’s been said before, but I don’t care. Those people are horrible and rude and the picture is AMAZING. I love it. You are SO good at shiny, lustrous, and sparkly things. And dresses. I love dresses. Especially yours.

:-) Norma Peters replies: "Again, thank you so much. 2"
