O-M-G.... ITS A BACKGROUND!!! This is one of my most recent pics. I tried a new technique (keeping the black outline) because trying to do a photorealistic pic just wasnt working for me right now. I also did something new to me; I backlighted the scales and skin. You know how there is the light source and then the light reflects off the object? thats basically what I did new and it made it look a lot better. I suggest the 'Backlighting' thingy to everyone. I have almost perfected it, but not yet. Anyway, I scanned a sketch of the girl in and traced it, but the dragon was sketched on the CPU. The trees are disgraceful. I ABSOLUTELY HATE doing BGs, especially if its the last thing I do. I didn't really draw the bark... I just slapped some color shades on there and ran a ... ::averts eyes:: filter. YES!!! I know its from laziness, but I don't know how to do decent bark! I'm glad it came out to be how it is now... Wow... thats a long description. Hope you don't fall asleep reading it. ^_~

I just build upon my current knowledge by studying other people's art. I learn how they get it to look they way it does, and Then I immitate that technique. Observation, practice, and determination make perfect!"

I get the feeling she have to do something, which is going to change the world up said down, and she does not want to do it, but she knows someone have to do it, so why not her? 19 Mar 2003	Anonymous	Loading... I haven't had much luck with bark myself, but you did great on it. The dragon is superb. They are ready for the hunt. Don't be hard on yourself with the trees. I usually try to avoid them.
1 May 2003	James R Steelman Jr	Loading... As much detail as you have in the dragon and warrior this would look great with even the worse of backgrounds, even though the background itself is quite good as well.
