Every DeepWood traveler knows that the worst thing to encouter in the woods are not dragons, uphill trolls nor twist snakes. No, the worst scenario is to run into a pack of DeepWood tricksters. Tricksters are impish, mischievous and devilish little creatures (some prefer to use word "bastards") who have no decency or moral at all. Therefore even a thought of meeting them makes even mightiest of heroes tremble with fear. Few who have encountered a pack of these creatures have survived... with they dignity and clothing intact that is.

DeepWood, tricksters and other DeepWood creature names were created by me just to give this drawing more "life". More DeepWood related material might be coming...

And this is the very first picture where all started. DeepWood I mean...

The most awesome pic I've seen today! It's so expressive! And fun.

:-) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "And I myself had fun when I was doing this. Glad that I could share that funny feeling to others as well. Thanks for commenting."

Lmao thats so cool i love this drawing i cant see a thing wrong its perfect. Do you plan on coloring it? oh.. yea.. *first comment spin*

:-) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Nice to hear that you liked my picture that much. What comes to colors, nope I don't think that I would color this. I have done some color drawings (my Fan art-gallery) but those are ment to be color pieces from the beginning. This was just ment to be fast and funny B/W picture."

Hi Panu! It's fantastic! The tricksters are super cool indeed 2 Keep up the good work.

12 Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Hi Anu! Nice to see you visiting here every now and then. It makes me feel really appreciated when an artist of your caliber takes a peek inside my "humble" gallery.

And nice to know also that you liked my trickster-idea. Now I know that "the better gender" will not be offended by it."

I can't believe how lifelike this picture is; you've really managed to capture the movement going on. It's cartoonish, but in a very good way!

I like tricksters. Who doesn't?

4 Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Hi and thanks for the compliments. I am also very satisfied to the way how I managed to group the individuals in this picture. I think that their positions did came out quite natural. And if you like tricksters then there is good news. There may be more of them coming. "

I know I have seen this one but today I just felt like commenting on it. I love the Idea of little mischievious creatures tring to rob you of your honor...

29 Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Hi Sara! Glad to hear you liked the picture. It makes me also smile everytime I watch it. And yeah, those tricksters. First they rob your clothes, then your honor and finally the last bits of your self-respect. Little devils..."

Hehe -Pirahna attack! Poor girl, next time she might want to bring a buddy to watch her back!

:-) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Hehe, nice analogy. Like piranhas the tricksters like to work in packs. And that is a good advice to anyone who take a hike in DeepWood. Take a friend along."
5 Nov 2008:-) Sam Adams
Oh Noooooo! The horrible little things!!! But you draw them so well 1

:-) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Oh NOOOOO! indeed. Beware the tricksters. And thanks."

OOOOCHIES.....there’s one grabbing hold of her b**b. That hurts!!!(past experience)

:-) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Not a nice situation in any way I assure, although I can’t say that from my own experience. But I trust your word. Hehe!"
30 Apr 2010:-) Trish Harold
That dude had better let go of that ...ahem. That would hurt! Oh this poor girl,is there no one to help?
Run away!!!!!!!!!!
I would very much agree with those who call them the "b" word. Truly a very funny drawing and full of life and detail.

:-) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Well, tricksters do not mind where they might grab their unfortunate victims. What more embarrassing the situation the more fun it is for those little b**tards.

And no, there is no help near. Your advice to run is the best way to avoid tricksters.

Thanks for commenting. "

Well the trols seem to be having fun. She needs some trol repelent.

:-) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Anyone who creates a fool proof "Trickster repellant" will be an instant millionare. 1"
