...and then the defences were broken. No more were there any front lines, no more coherent defences . No it was not even a retreat anymore but a frantic and chaotic stampede and slaughter were every figure in your way was obstacle to be strike down, be it friend or a foe. And Aldarian too stumbled in the mids of the worst chaos. Blood running from the wound over her left eye, blinding it and mix of sweat and blood making also her right eye almost useless. She knew that this was the end. She knew that her men were dying around her, that the orc hordes would now be free to pillage, kill and burn. All this she knew but the only thing which she could clearly though at that moment was;
"I have to see! I have to see!..."

Again a picture from my own Middle-Earth related fantasy story. This time illustrating the battle which would change Aldarian's life forever. (Yea, I know that I promised to stop drawing her but...)

Middle-Earth is created by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Aldarian is (c) to me.

This seems to be a wider problem as (atleast) both of us have the same annoyance.

Thanks for the encouragement Louise. You are right about that an inspiring idea is an inspiring idea and it is not going to go away.

The main goal was to illustrate Aldarian’s terror, fear and exhaust and I am glad that you liked the outcome. Background was (like you said) left unsharp and "unfinished" so that the feeling of chaos would radiate from it. But I must admit that I could have had "polished" it a bit more.

I looked those new pictures of yours. Great work. I too have one other picture in my Other works -gallery.

To Maxine:

I thought you would like the armour. 12
One big goal in this was to practice those armor decorations. Aldarians helm? As you quessed she had lost it earlier in the battle. And what comes to her hair... Well, in reality I think that even female warriors would cut their hair short. Long hair do not belong to battlefield (or under helmet). But Aldarian just had to keep her prided braids so her helmet was modified for those.
Glad that you liked this Maxine. And that "cat-fight" idea is not forgotten.
