"Lia" by Panu Hakkarainen

This is a charachter portrayal from a Finnish roleplaying game 'Praedor'. Praedor take place in the world of Jaconia which is a ring shaped land area surrounded by a dead, dark world of Borvaria. Borvaria is a huge, ancient and ruined area which contains a lot of cities of old times and treasures beyond the wildest dreams but also "nameless creatures", monsters, demons, ghosts, wild magic and other horrors. Treasure hunters who make raids to Borvaria are called as praedors.

Lia was forced to become a praedor. No one who can avoid it becomes a praedor as it is the most dangerous "job" in Jaconia and other people despise them. On her first trip to Borvaria a "nameless creature" wounded her face and the scar over her left eye will always remember her of what path she was forced to step.
