| 4 Jun 2006 | A random fangirl from finland-91- | Loading...This gallery is full of amazingly drawn pictures and I´m proud that theres a lot of really talented, finnish artists here in Elfwood. I wish I could join here too, but I don´t have a scanner, or what was that...? Any way, great gallery! Panu Hakkarainen replies: " Thanks for the compliments and nice to hear that you liked my drawings. It is also nice to have finnish visitors here. There can never be too much Finns here. And what comes to the scanner you can always "loan" mine (if you happen to live in Varkaus that is). " | |

| 24 Jul 2007 | Leigh 'Katt' Berggren | Loading...I hate to criticize because I admire your talent, but I do have on suggestion. You're excellent at shading, and I think that if you avoided dark outlines it would add a level of realism to your work. Outlines are, of course, a stylistic choice, but they do make everything look cartoony. I hope you'll consider giving it a try. =) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Thanks for visiting and commenting. Constructive criticism is always welcomed. You are absolutely right about the outlines. However, they are a strong part of my drawing style nowadays. (and have always been). As you pointed out my style is a cartoonish but it is intentional. I have come to like the strong outlines and the bit "toonish" look of my drawings. This does not outrule that I would never try a more realistic style. But if I do it will happen in my S&F gallery. " | |
| 13 Feb 2008 | Alena Crepea | Loading..."A little talent"? You are amazing! You should denfinitely keep up the good work! I love your manga, and I actually realy like the manga drawing style, though it isn’t for me. I think you are REALLY good at it and you are as good as the pros! I think my favorite picture of yours is the one with Predator and the girl saying "What exactly did you mean when you said you wanted to possess my heart?" LOL! ROFL! and all that good stuff. I think you have a good sense of humour, as well. Keep up the good work!!! <3 Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Thank you Alena for your praising words. It is always nice to hear those although I think you make me almost blush. It is not everyday when you are referred to the pros.
Glad that I could make you laught with my predator and girl picture. Humour is what keeps us going. Take care and hopefully I see you again here sometime."

| 14 Nov 2008 | Lucy Bert | Loading...What’s Finland like? I’ve always wanted to go to Europe, but lack of the green crackly stuff makes travel limited...... Panu Hakkarainen replies: "What’s it like? Well in winter we have short dayligh and much darkness as well as snow and cold (amount of snow varies depending in which part of Finland you are from zero to some meters). On the other hand in summers whe have almost "nightless nights". In it’s best the Finnish summer can be really warm and nice.
Well it would take me a lot of time to descripe Finland and Finns, the credits and debets but I can say that I have always liked to live here. "
| 30 Jan 2009 | Sam Adams | Loading...Hey there! You have a brilliant FanArt gallery too! If only i knew the characters *sigh*! But THANK YOU soooo much for making a return trip to my gallery, it means a lot! Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Thank you! I do like to draw Fan art as well as original art. There are so many interesting charachters who others have created.
You have much more patience to write comments than I do and I sure appreciate that. But I will continue to take a peek in your gallery every now and then. See you there or here! "

| 12 Sep 2009 | Zachary Tank_Comander Marshal | Loading...what kinda uniform is that? I have a Boy Scout one... and about 10 Military ones from around the world including Germany and um... East Germany during the 50’s 60’s when half of Germany was USSR Panu Hakkarainen replies: "It is the Finnish army (vacation) uniform. This model was used when I was serving during 1994-1995. Nowadays the uniform model is different. Here in Finland military training (or alternatively some civil duty) is compulsory for men so almost everyone has been in the army for some time. (from 6 to 12 months usually)." | |
| 1 Nov 2009 | Marie walsh | Loading...yay oblivion fanart, my favorite xbox 360 game. all such wonderfull pics, i dont know the morrowind characters but the ones with lex are funny. Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Yes I am also a fan of Oblivion (though I play it on PC). I myself found the Morrowind first and I was very pleased with the game and still consider it to be one of the best roleplaying- adventuring games. Then I tried Oblivion and liked it too. I also like to draw Elder scrolls fan art time to time. Lex was one of those Oblivion NPC’s which I though that could be good comic characters and I created Honoria to be her sweetheart.
I also have these in my DeviantArt gallery (and one other) where they are perhaps more clearly organized.
