"Amazon" by Paul Baxter

	I see a lot of Medieval imagery in the *Elfwood* fantasy galleries, and of course, I love to see it. Still, I think that sometimes I'd like to see other eras represented, so here's my Ancient Greek attempt. My plan it to add a bust of Pallas Athene on the pedistal she's leaning on, thus making her a more proper 'Athenian Amozon.' Ink on cheap paper, original 11x17 inches.

14 Jul 2004	Never	Loading... Amazons DIDNT actually cut off their left breasts, its really amazing how many people thought that they did. Still, they didn't, so leave the picture as it is!! Paul Baxter replies: "Hey, there were plenty of accounts of these women, and I dunno if any of 'em were true..."
