SciFi and Fantasy Art Sorceress by Paul Baxter

Someone got on my case about a 'sorceress' having a spellbook. This someone said that sorcery doesn't require books. To anyone who feels this way, I offer two responces: First, I make no claim of that book being a 'spellbook.' Second, y'all read too much into Dungeons & Dragons.

This is an old pic (from, like, 1996 or so...), but I still love her! Sure, I could'a done better on her hands, and her face ain't perfect, and her dress kinda just 'trails off' at the bottom, but still...

Dig the book! It appears often in my drawings, but I really can't tell anyone why.

1 Jun 2004	Anonymous	Loading... Well, the detail on this is good, the posture and the pose are very believeable...but...sorcerors don't normally need a spellbook. it's wizards that use spellbooks. Many times in mythology when there is sorcery there are no books. Paul Baxter replies: "Ya' know, it doesn't have to be a spellbook, does it? I mean, maybe she has a really ornately bound copy of her high school yearbook..."
