SciFi and Fantasy Art Appel Bird by Sophie ´Photosoph´ Matthews

Okay... this is a realistic version of one of my birds -it's basially an apple bird -a red bird with a leaf on its head and a leaf for its tail. I chose one of my more simple bird designs (I've drawn a LOT of little bird creatures) to draw, because it was easier to draw a leaf on top of its head than, for example... a realistic banana, hat, or whatever.

I did him/her in coloured pencil, looking at a picture of a bird I can't remember the name of... for reference.

One word that pops in my mind : Dumple Sophie 'Photosoph' Matthews replies: "Hmm... dumple mouth waters. Dumple... reminds me of apple dumpling (which I've never tasted, but it probably tastes really good ). Thanks! The bird I looked at to draw this was a red-brown or grey-ish colour, but since it was going to be an 'apple bird', I just changed its colour. Thinks about the work 'Dumple'."

I don't remember of this one on my first visit in your gallery...I think that you're really good with colored pencil,cauz' it's very difficult to draw with it(Giving relief...)!
