This is a work I made for my friend's band(collaboration). They wanted something with space and the sea.

I came up with the idea of using an anglerfish, an anglerfish lives at very dark places in the ocean. It's a predator and to catch fishes he has a sort of antenna which emits light, the fish in the sea are drawed to the light, because its dark everywere and suddenly they see a light. (like bugs, they also fly to the light). so the fish swim towards the light and are being eaten because they dont see the mouth of the anglerfish. I saw in my fantasy that the light of that anglerfish could be the sun also (needed to combine sea and space), and around the anglerfish's light there would be orbitting planets, like mars, jupiter, saturnus, earth,...
I think the huge anglerfish would perfectly fit in the dark environment of space to lure with his light/ the sun for fishes.

Everything you see is painted and drawed with my trusty pallet =)

Intriguing concept.

If I’m reading you’re description right, you invented a fish called the "seademon". A fish that perfectly resembles an anglerfish? And you invented it? I’m not sure if you’re trying to seem more creative than you really are or were honestly unaware of the existence of the anglerfish. I’m hoping for the latter, since if you’re doing the former, it just looks really bad on your part. Just in case it IS the latter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglerfish

Now, on the other hand, having the anglerfish’s glowing esca as the sun of a solar system is rather creative and interesting. Even if you are trying to claim you invented the anglerfish, you still get a lot of points for the creativity there. Hopefully those fish don’t bump the planets off orbit at just the right angle... or go after the planets instead.

Now, if I misread your description or something to that effect and you’re doing something like calling the anglerfish a seademon for some reason or another, then my apologies in advance. Also, if that’s the case, I’d recommend making adjustments to your description so people like me don’t get confused and call you out based on their misinterpretation of what you said.

:-) Rob Vanderstraeten replies: "haha, sorry for the confusion there 2
No i DONT claim i’ve invented it, in my native language they called it a ’zeeduivel’ and i thought : perhaps it could be called a ’seademon’. I googled it , and because i got photos of that fish (apparently an anglerfish) i thought that it was the correct name =). Again, i dont claim that ive invented it, just a bit of ignorance of the real name of the fish. but now i know its called an anglerfish =D.
I understand why you thought that because there stands ’ came up with a seademon’ I used this sentence because I made this on request, i had to combine the sea and the space. so i came up with the idea of using the anglerfish.
Again, sorry for the confusion there =)"

Saw another artists anglefish drawing today, only his was drawing in a mermaid. Your doing well, and gulping a fish is a lot less damaging to my soul than gobbling a mermaid. Keep up the work.

:-) Rob Vanderstraeten replies: "hehe thanks ^^"
