I was listening to Poe's Haunted CD and I was inspired with this image. Basically the line that brought this forth was 'I have you in my garden now, and you're not welcome here.' I painted the whole thing in acrylics which was a pain because of the circles, which I used contact paper to create. I wasn't so happy with the end result, so I took it into photoshop and touched it up. I was however really happy with the way the tree came out! That was not touched in PS... What do you think?

(So why am I not welcome?)Anyway, this one really stands out from the rest of the uploads, it makes me feel curious. I imagine looking through a leaf with a caterpillar still eating more holes.

:-) Kelley A. Pierog replies: "Well, the holes were meant to be like you're peeking through... but I didn't think of the leaf idea... I like that! But that's part of the not being welcome, it's like you're spying on her. It's just part of the song though... and you're more than welcome in my gallery! Thanx for the comment!"

I feel as if I'm looking through swiss cheese! The tree did turn out really well. I like the lightning too. It keeps me wondering what is behind the white parts.=^..^=

:-) Kelley A. Pierog replies: "That's the idea of all my pictures, to make people think... I guess this one is just the most successful at that aspect! Thanx for commenting!"

This is really cool! I do think that if it is possible that more holes would make this better. I say this because had I not read the description, I am not sure I would have realized it was a garden behind the holes... Very clever though!

:-) Kelley A. Pierog replies: "I was thinking the same thing about the garden not being so prominent. I thought I could bring the flowers infront of the holes, but I was scared to do it... would that help?"

I really like this picture! The circles are a cool effect!

:-) Kelley A. Pierog replies: "Thanks for checking out my gallery! I appreciate it!"

Kelley I love the idea of this painting and the beautiful garden effects and the holes, only I think the white is too much of a contrast. I know it fits the idea beautifully but artistically I think it needs colour(Though which colour I'm not sure) See you in Bifrost)
