I finally made it, i finally made a person...and she's got a face too. Her name is Nimue and to me she looks like a young sorceress, or maybe a princess i'm not sure. That jewelry she's wearing looked like it hurt first but I changed the expression on her face and it doesn't look painful now does it?

Yeah, sad expression indeed...
But also calm and peaceful... I really like this, and you say you can't do faces!!! It's wonderful!!!

If this is Your first drawing of a persons face then You are very skilled, the portrayal of emotion sometimes is the hardest part.
This one, it seems to me, portrays sadness or reflection, perhaps both.
Thank You also for Your comments on my place in the woods.

Oooh, there is something very special about this picture. Very nice job for a first face...my firsts were not nearly so succesful. And I like the jewelry - it looks neat!

Please can someone here say how you pronounce 'nimue'? Very nice drawing - I wish I was nearly as talented.

:-) Emma Pihl replies: "Now that you ask I'm not sure but I believe you say it like this...Nimew...Atleast that's how I say it."

damn.. really really good! personally, I think she is a princess or something. In deep grief! Maybe she's lost her father or brother?

A very, very nice picture.
I love her hair, so flowing. She looks like she's listening
to something, music, singing birds, maybe?
Wonderful! =)

This is beautiful, so simple and detailed at the same time. How about this for a background on her...she's a princess who's father is forcing her to marry the son of another clan or kingdom to end the constant warring between the two peoples and she's sad because she can't marry the man she truely loves.
Or maybe she just broke a nail.
