| 15 Aug 2007 | Michael S. LaReaux | Thanks for having a look at "Ballard the Brave." Thanks for your comments. If there's a straw-man argument in the story, it's mine, not the dragon's. I had to set Ballard up for failure (failure to defeat the dragon, that is) and that seemed like a good way to do it. My original idea was to have Maachelion lull Ballard into confusion, and then eat him, but apparently, the dragon ate fish, so that sort of went out the window. Speaking of dragons, you have a certain dragon with a story to tell. Are you planning to post the rest of his story here? Anyway, welcome to Elfwood. Itamar J. An author who I enjoy reading uses many of those. As for the mention of my dragon story, well, it's all in my head. I have 3 more chapters, but I hate all of them and can't think of a way to re-write. It ends with the same basic idea, but I won't tell you what it is. Also, my history sense is about as sharp as a maul, and I want to work on that before I write another midieval story. My next is probably sci-fi..." | |
