 This creature is known as an Ardentem Carnem (Dencar is a commonly used name). It lives in the central Volcanic regions of your imagination. This creature lives near lava pools and feeds on anything that comes near their territory. Smothering you in it's lava like skin until your body turns to ashes then devouring the ashes. (Water is a fantastic deturant)

Ever get the munchies, for butterflies?

The creature is impressive and excellently done, but the butterfly is a little too vague to fully add to the dramatic impact of it about to be eaten.

Well, I’m sorry to disappoint the Ardentem Carnem, but I have no butterflies in my imagination on which it can feed. My hermit crabs took care of all of the nasty butterflies for me. I think this guy is rather cute.
