This one I did for a school project that is still being marked. I also challenged another member at elfwood to draw something that is new for him. My part of the challenge was to draw something peacefull. So I painted this. Please, don't hesitate to leave any constructive criticism in the comments. I haven't painted something this elaborate on a canvas this big before in acrylic.

Now, this one made me smile. I love red skies and it looks so playful. I love working with acrylics and the lighting and shadows on the rocks is perfect. I do have to agree with Charlotte about the standing gryphon. the anatomy does seem a little off kinda looks like a statue. but that can be easily over looked because of how beautiful the picture is.

Wow, this is beautiful! I love the colours of the sky and on the griffons. Yeah, the anatomy does need a bit of tweaking, and the leg on the griffon in the air looks a tad odd to me... but that might be because I can’t see it properly at the moment 14

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "I know, I’m in the process of tweaking it now but it’s going to take a long time because it’s in acrylic paint and I only use the primary colours, so I have usually about 45 minutes of mixing to do before I can get the colours close enough to the paint I’ve already used."

I think the griffin on the ground needs to have more feather son his wings. The lighting and the rocks are great though.
