WOW! I love this pic I know its a griffen but it looks a bit cat like ^_^

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "That was the general idea. I’m happy with how it turned out."

Wow, this one is awesome! It looks like, to me, more of a couger/dragon like the normal gryphon is a lion/eagle.

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "I’m almost finished updating this picture. I’m putting in as much detail as possible. I’ve made it so that you can see all the little hairs in the fur and details in each feather on the wings. I could let you know when it’s posted if you would like?"

That would be nice.

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "Sure thing."

I like your creature, but i like the landscape even more! I want to move there.

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "thanks Emma!"

Thx for a comment =) I really like this pic^^ you gave me an idea what to do with my griff... he’s got no background =S poor thing

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "Yeah, I never spend as much time on backgrounds as I should. I like to focus more on the characters I’m drawing. Usually bright colours and some lighting does the trick for simple backgrounds. What does the gryphon look like?"
7 May 2010:-) Dona Nora
Your looks very realistic and I can almost feel the fur under my fingers =) mine looks um.. like his mom eated too much crayons or sth before she laid the egg xD it’s posted in my gallery maybe you could take a look and give me a suggestion how to pick the best background? It would help me a lot =)

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "Thank you! 1 I have an updated version of this that I finished with my tablet (when I first drew this one I just scanned it in and coloured it in with a mouse). I think that it’s my best one yet. You have to enlarge it in order to see it’s full detail."

Umm i just took a nother look at my griff so I could think about the background easier and I kinda... recomand you not to take a look =P 1 i was 14 when i did the pic and it’s full of mistakes and I think it does not deserve any more work with the background xD

A horned lion-eagle!

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "Of course! What else could it be? a horned eagle-lion? That just wouldn’t make any sense. XD"
14 Aug 2011:-) John R Farley Jr
Great picture. The gryphon looks very big and powerful here. Kind of like he would be the king or a ruler.

:-) Joshua Steven Mersereau replies: "Thanks! you should see the updated version if you haven’t already."
