Last year, for Christmas, I was short of money, so I drew a series of Princesses..First was the Ice Princess, then The Ocean Princess... And so on, and so on. They all came with these short stories. You can see her pic in my gallery.

Once upon a time there was a king and a queen of a far - off kingdom. It was really a very small kingdom, and the only hope for it was to join it to a neigboring one. The nearby kingdom had a princess, and this king only needed a prince to marry her too. So the king and queen tried to have a son. Twelve years later, they had only twelve daughters. The queen, sadly, passed away during the birth of the youngest. The princess of the neigboring kingdom was married off to another prince. And so the king had twelve daughters, with no prospects for any of them.
Years passed, and the king grew more desperate. The youngest of his daughters, Princess Minli, had just reached her sixteenth year, and he hadn't even married off the eldest, Princess Shiva, who was twenty eight. Frantic, for he hadn't enough to dower them all properly, he sought an answer. An old man, who was passing through one day, encountered him and told him he had a soulution to all his problems.
"You can find suitible marriges for all my daughters?" he asked the old man hopefully. The man nodded.
"I can solve your problem, but there will be a price," he told him.
"Anything!" the king exclaimed.
"Go to bed tonight, and in the morning, all your troubles will be over," he told the king.
"But the price-"
"Go to sleep, and tell no one of our deal," he firmly said, "the price will be great, but you will never know I have taken it."
The king, relieved, went to see his darling daughters safely off to sleep. He entered their room they all shared, and kissed all of them on their foreheads, before heading off to his own room. It was the last he ever saw of them.

Marina, the second oldest at twenty seven, opened her eyes and saw she was no longer in her own room. She was in a cold, dark chamber, surrounded by her eleven sisters. When they all awoke, they all began to tremble in fear. An old man entered the room soon after, and told them their fate.
"Your father has made a deal with me to marry you all off to a respectable prince, in trade for a price. Unfortunately that price was to forget you all even existed. No one will save you, for no one remembers you. You are all mine. If one of you agrees to marry me, I will kill your father, and we will rule his kingdom together. Do I have any volunteers?" he asked evily. No one spoke, but Minli began to weep.
"Then I have no choice but to ask one of you a day. I will start from the oldest. Shiva, will you marry me and be queen of our kingdom?" he asked. Marina's older sister tossed her pale blonde hair and looked at the ugly old man haugtily.
"Me? Marry a geezer? Never!" she said. The old man sighed.
"You have a heart as cold as ice, so you, Shiva, will now become a snow queen." he stated, and instantly the room became colder. Marina watched in horror as her older sister's hair became a dark purple - blue, and a white gown wrapped around her. A silver orb appeared at her throat, and a large star hung from a belt around her waist.
"Your touch will be as cold as ice, and you will be doomed to live forever in winter. The only way you may break this spell is to find a man who will willingly spend the night in your cold embrace." And with those final words, Shiva dissappeared in a flurry of snow. The old man nodded at the rest of the horror stricken sisters, and left the room.
"What ever shall we do?" asked Talia.
"We shall not give in. Think of father," Marina chided.
So a day passed, and another one came. The old man returned at the same time as the day before. This time he faced Marina. "Today I will ask you, Marina. Will you marry me and be queen of our kingdom?" he asked. Marina trembled, but remembered her father.
"I will not have you kill my father just to save myself," she answered. The old man sighed again.
"You care for others, Marina, but would others do the same for you? You, Marina, shall become the ocean princess," he said. Marina found suddenly she was gasping for air. She barely heard the next words.
"You will never be able to leave the ocean, but you will be able to take care of the cold creatures that inhabit it. The only way to break this spell is to find a man who is willing to give up everything to live with you in watery depths," he said and Marina's world became dark.

When she awoke, it was in the ocean. Her once pale blonde hair was an aqua blue that swam around her as if it had a life of it's own. She found she was wearing a stretchy, almost rubbery dress, of a strange pink- yellow color, and belted at her waist was a star belt of silver blue. Her hands found an orb at her throat, and one large disc attatched to her forehead. Upon further inspection, Marina found she had fins on her legs! She swam for the surface with alarming ease, and broke through the water. She located land, and swam to it in almost no time at all. Marina began to pull herself out of the water, when she found she could not breathe again. She quickly lowered herself back into the salty sea. Indeed she could not escape the ocean.
After days of becoming accustomed to her new way of life, she began to swim the waters, hoping, and searching for that one man who would give up everything for her as she had for her father, to break this enchantment, and somehow save her dear sisters.
