Tag As FavoriteComment		This is a close up of the Cheshire cat that belongs to the Wonderland Asylum shadowbox.  He is very soft and pettible, despite his creepy appearance.  Check out all the detail in this 1.5 inch high sculpt....He even has whiskers.

Often I have seen a cat without a grin- but never a grin without a cat! Simply wonderful! the detail ,defies belief, and the feel is exactly right for the Cheshire cat. Tenniel would have been proud of this, I am sure. BTW< you can download the original Tenniel illustrations free from "Project Gutenberg.com,’- wonderful collection of classic books, though few illustrations, the ones from "Alice "being an exception.

I think the creepiest thing about this guy is how human his teeth look. It’s a bit surreal.
