The inspiration for this sculpt came from a dragonfly who was trapped in my house.  I saw him at the window struggling against it to get outside.  When he finally calmed down, I caught him so that I could let him go . . . but he bit me.  It's probably a good idea to keep that in mind, if I ever do see a faerie on my window sill. 
This piece is a one of a kind, original sculpture.  She was created in polymer clay and mixed medias, and is only 4 inches high.

I had no idea dragonflies could bite people! I’ll bear that in mind, too, if freeing dragonflies or fairies. This is fantastic - the pose is very good, really alive.

Wow, great work. When first looking at it I thought this was a Photoshop piece. Its very cool you were able to create her out of polymer clay. This must take a great deal of patience. Very nice! 15
