This is a picture from the Warhammer40K universe

The Flame of the Imperium is but a muzzle flash in the weapons of those loyal to it.

The Chimera is an armored chassis that is used for many different variants, from Tank Killers to APCs. but this isn't new news, may tanks including the Modern Abrams are used for more that being an MBT (Main Battle Tank)

 

This took me maybe a two hours to draw/paint and I am quite proud of it (though I think I could do better, I think I will move on)

I can picture this firing away in the dark. The muzzle flashes looking like some deadly strobe light, lighting up the surroundings.

I like the dark atmosphere to this and the flash of fame, well worth the time it took!

coming back to this, I am quite impressed. My technique and approach to this daunting of a picture is very well done and looks quite well. (I love going back over my pictures to critique myself a year later)

Yeah, I’d say it’s not the best picture ever. But well worth the time it took to draw it.

the red/orange tint is a good touch for the atmosphere which is that of a dark forest at night. The tint complements the muzzle-flash from the APC tank.

the rear hatch that is opening gives off a contrasting glow (maybe should be more of a contrast, and brighter) it’s a good touch.
