One of my recent polymer clay sculptures inspired by the novel "Watership Down". It is El-ahrairah, the "prince of rabbits", or "prince with a thousand enemies" according to rabbit folklore. The story of the blessing of El-ahrairah was one of my favourite parts of the 1978 animated film.

This sculpture is made from Super Sculpey, wire armature, glass eyes, paint and varnish. (It's also for sale and one-of-a-kind, details available on my site: http://www.maliceinunderland.co.uk/watershipsculptures.html)

I really like this, and I’m not usually one for sculpture. (I’m probably just bitter because I’ve never been able to produce anything decent myself!) I’ve just finished reading Watership Down for the first time and it’s a brilliant read. I really liked the animated film too but they didn’t have many of the El-ahrairah stories which is a shame.
