SciFi & Fantasy Artwork by Robin Andersson

Robin is a concept artist to be, hopes to be atleast. started to draw for about 4 years ago and was strongly influenced by Manga, especially dragonball. soon to develop his own style he realized that manga was'nt the right aproach for a concept artist. for about two weeks ago (december 2007) he decided to change his style. now struggling with the task of reteaching himself the art of drawing, this time the more realistic form of drawings called fantasy. would appreciate any comments good and bad as they help him evolve and do better next time.

Robin, Your gallery is most impressive. Your drawing style is very unique. I like that it has a SciFi edge to it, while still being fantasy. I’m Impressed by you line work. That is my weakest point when I draw. 2

:-) Robin Andersson replies: "thank you for yer kind words."

I absolutely love art that has roots in both eastern and western art styles and takes the best of both to create new work- mostly because I’m coming from that direction too. Beautiful linework, with lots of lovely detail- you should have a go at colouring or greyscale shading some of it!

:-) Robin Andersson replies: "thank you. gonna do some more works in color soon. just wanna feel more confident in the greyscale first"

g´day. I liked your gallery. although theres much to improve your’re shaping up nicely. everyone of your pictures has obious flaws and errors. don’t be afraid to start over when you’re making to much errors.

:-) Robin Andersson replies: "thank you for yer comment. yup my pics needs much more work but that’s why I’m practicin’"

Your work reminds me so much of when I started out. Your profile says you are working on developing your own style. For me that was and still is an unusual sense of metamorphosis, I have changed styles and techniques so often as I have evolved as an artist. One thing I found out is that the most important thing is you keep drawing. Enjoy the process.

:-) Robin Andersson replies: "thanks for yer comment. yup the only thing to do to evolve is to keep drawing. no one ever starts at the finish and in art there is no finish. all ya can do is to draw and evolve ’til yer content"

You re really good at outfits and weaponry....Great imagination 1....Nice gallery...

....."like to draw random "dead objekts".....sound lil bit creepy 1....in the good way 1....

:-) Robin Andersson replies: "thank you, for yer comments. what I meant by dead objects was "stuffs" things and items that are’nt alive. I’m more of a character scetcher, than an item scetcher"

Hey, I like your drawings.
I’ve tried to change my style to a more realistic one too but soon found out that it’s a very difficult thing to do. But I try. 7

:-) Robin Andersson replies: "tell me about it. ’ve been studying americarn comic art alot. kinda liked the new style and trying to learn how to do it good. It’s working pretty good to get a solid ground before starting to do ultra-realistic pics. I wish you good luck in yer work"
