SciFi and Fantasy Art Manticore by Tiina Purin

I read about one of these and just had to draw it. The only story book I've heard of them in was Harry Potter, but even then they didn't dwell. As legend goes, the Manticore lives in the jungles of India. They have the head of a man with a grin from ear to ear. The body of a big cat like a lion and a tail with spines that it can shoot in any direction to paralize their prey. When someone went missing in the jungle, people knew a Manticore was close by.
