Enondo Character ref July 2011

After reading through everyone’s feedback on my first concept for Enondo’s re-design I decided to take those things on board and altered the drawing. I hope you guys like it

Enondo is an Earth Dragon and so like most earth dragons has quite small wings; although they are functional she cannot fly long distances or very high compared to most dragons.
She has a short stocky build with an arched back covered in hardened spines. Her scales are a dark brown with bright orange stripes, her underside is a light tea colour and the rattle on the end of her tail is a dark brown.
Earth dragons rarely resort to violence; If threatened Enondo will hiss and rattle the scales on the end of her tail. If this fails she will hold out her wings and her scales will stand out on end giving her a spiny appearance. Her horns are incredibly strong and if needed they can deliver a painful blow.
Enondo can also change her skin colour in a similar way to that of a chameleon, although the waves of colour are often different shades of brown, grey and sometimes blue as she is part water dragon. The water dragon in her means that her eyes are a deep blue with hazel stars at the centre, it also means that she is a very good swimmer and is quite at home in the water.

Incredible creature! The scales, wings and spikes are beautifully crafted. I wish it really existed, so I could it in action (from a safe distance!!) The one drawback is the photo-shopped outline, which makes it look like a paper cut-out. I know it’s time-consuming to get those annoying edges, though . . . 2
