| 20 Jun 2009 | Lynn Purple Dragoness Lilac Taylor | Loading...Lynn showed me this one and told me how nice this portrait was !She was surely right. you have captured just the right feel for this fellow. Now you just need to do him in color, and write a story for him to star in! | |
| 23 Jun 2009 | Robin Butler | Loading...I think you’re off to a great start with those eyes! I love the angular lines you’ve used. It does help to make him look other-worldly. Also love the neck of his tunic. The hint of texture is great! You’re off to a great gallery start. Keep it up! Trish Harold replies: "Thank you very much,Robin! I think I’ve got the jawline to point where I know it’s too angular or too square. I’m working on another picture where he’s with two other fellows that are full blooded elves, so I’ll be able to show off his differences a bit more.
Thank you for taking time to look at my pics too! I really appreciate it very much. " | |
| 23 Jun 2009 | Susann Snyder | Loading...I love the eyes, very soulful and compassionate. You are doing fantastic!! Can’t wait to read and see more. Keep up the great work! | |
| 26 Jun 2009 | Lena V. Bazhenova | Loading...The eyes really are very unusual. You still nedd to work a bit on overall facial anatomy though. | |
| 11 Jul 2009 | Gwenivere Stephan | Loading...This is nice! Personally, I think the eyes are sort of unnerving, almost angled too much, but everyone else seems to like them so I might just be weird XD I think this picture has so much potential in it! With lots of practice, I think you’re going to be really good! Trish Harold replies: "No, you’re not weird! I enjoy having constructive criticism...otherwise how can I improve? This was done in 2007 so I think I have changed the angle a little bit. I read a lot of Elfquest when I was younger so my elves do have larger eyes;I think I was influenced by that! His eyes are a challenge;since he’s half elfin they are supposed to be larger than a human’s and smaller than a fullblooded elf.Thank you very much for the encouragement...I am practicing as much as I can!" | |
| 23 Aug 2009 | John R Farley Jr | Loading...Nice shading. He’s got an interesting look. Sort of elven, but alien at the same time. Human, but maybe not. Trish Harold replies: "As much as I love drawing my character,he drives me nuts at times. Martin is meant to not fully blend in with humans or elves,so to know that I actually achieved this in an early drawing in very encouraging. Thank you!" | |
| 27 Aug 2009 | Chelsea L Pennelly | Loading...I love his eyes! Trish Harold replies: "Thank you Chelsea! He is supposed to have these wnderfully expressive eyes, and I do hope I can get a portrait done of him in colour. Too much to do!" | |
| 30 Aug 2009 | Christina Jo Brinkley | Loading...I love this guys eyes. He looks like a sexy alien that I wish would land in my backyard! Trish Harold replies: "Ha ha! Thank you Christina! You never know...while he’s not an alien, he’s working with wizards on trying to stop random portals that enter into this world. If you’re lucky...he might fall through!" | |
| 12 Sep 2009 | Monique Aurelia Anleu | Loading...awesome eyes, but a little mismatched in size, if you can fix that it’ll be pretty close to perfect Trish Harold replies: "Thanks! Working on it!" | |
| 13 Sep 2009 | Emily Heather Brown | Loading...Beautiful eyes, and his face shae is gorgeous too! Trish Harold replies: "Thank you Emily. I’ve seen the wonderful eyes you do on your characters...so thank you for that marvelous comment! I may do another one since this is rather old (2007- . " | |
