The sudden darkening of the moon startled him and he turned quickly...to face an expanse of human torso clad in black.
As he continued to look up,Martin's eyes widened in amazement at the human's size. The giant's basso voice felt as though it could shake the very ground.

"Hand over the scroll."

The half-elf suddenly became aware of the very incriminating object he still clutched in his right hand. He stepped back a pace to put space between himself and the giant.

"What... scroll?"

A bear -like growl rumbled from the giant followed by a hiss of steel.

"I don't have time for games, beanpole. Give me the scroll NOW!"
************************************************

Tymr, the rather large human, actually turned out a little bigger than he should in this one. Martin is average height( 5' 7"),  and was supposed to come up to Tymr's collarbone. I guess I got a little carried away.
This is done with pencils from 4H to 8B. So far it's the most ambitious drawing I've done.Egad.
This was shot with a digital camera(I don't have a scanner. So it is a tad dark.

The scene is from a WIP story, from Chapter 1.This occurs after a fight Martin has to try to save an elf being attacked by what he thinks are robbers. The elf doesn't make it(that's his body behind the two) and gives Martin a scroll case to deliver to his employer. Tymr shows up and sees the bodies and wrongfully thinks Martin is a thief and a murderer. Well, he's half right.

Cool story! Oh and a very expressive look. perfect. No if you stood them up strait both of them he would come to the collar bone so you did a very good job. It is very cool.

:-) Trish Harold replies: "Thank you ,and very observant as always! He’s more surprised than scare, so I’m glad it worked. I may retake this one, and use a different backdrop. Will see how that works. Hope you’re doing well!

Exactly what I’d be saying, too. Good poses.

:-) Trish Harold replies: "Thank you so much. I wanted to do the typical symbolic cursing, but it wouldn’t let me when I downloaded. "

Nicely said! lol 1 I really loved the differences in heights between the two, very fascinating way of execution! Your introduction story is very neat, and the all together piece is great. I really loved it!

:-) Trish Harold replies: "Thank you so much,Yoni. I never knew the UFC could be so educational. I had references in the sizes from the different weight class divisions. Tymr would be about the size of a heavyweight, or a linebacker (yes, even football helps)!
Martin is more along the size of a lightweight.
But I also learned that even thought I draw and write fantasy, biology and physics still apply!
I hope to have the story up here soon. I’m fighting with another computer to get Chapters 1 and 2."

Wow, the size difference between the two is amazing. I like the action in this picture too, well-done poses. Bet that sword the giant has is quite heavy.

:-) Trish Harold replies: "Thank you very much John! I am happy how this came out...and some of that posing actually took place in front of a mirror!
I had always wanted to have a really noticeable size difference between the two characters. As I mentioned to Yoni earlier, much of that reference came from the UFC!
That sword is quite heavy and if memory serves me correctly has a serrated edge on one side."

This was a real cool one you can just see the action in it! Love it!!1

:-) Trish Harold replies: "Thank you Shannon.
I’m very happy how this came out. Thanks again for your uplifting comment."

Very nice, and the expressions are just perfect! As I see it , the Elven fellow has only a couple of choices- hand over the scroll and run- throw the scroll in the tree and run- or just RUN!! I see why my Purple dragoness likes this one. She always finds the good ones before me!

:-) Trish Harold replies: "Actually,he didn’t listen to you. He didn’t run...and well it got him into a LOT of trouble.
Martin is a slightly bit impulsive and headstrong. If you pull a weapon on him, he has to follow through."

very nice, I love the expressions

:-) Trish Harold replies: "Thank you,Monique. I really need to fix the darkness on this one.It may get reposted.
The expressions are a lot clearer when you see the picture in the right light!"
