But your's is more like I've imagined him before I've seen the movie. elven-like, proud and self-confident. Love all your Pics. Keep it up!Thank you very much. I was actually pretty pleased with Boromir in the movie. Sean Bean is a great actor. But I'm glad you prefer my portrayal.
| 13 Jun 2005 | Satya | Loading...This is REALLY GOOD! The faces in this picture are so real, when I stand and look at my moniter from slightly further it looks like a photo! I like the idea of a 'candid shot' too. I too loved Sean Bean's portrayal of Boromir (despite the reddish brown hair. Doesn't Tolkien describe him as having black hair? I forget, but that's how I imagined him anyway). I guess that's part of the reason I like your Boromir. Because it reminds me a lot of Sean Bean. He looks very lordly in all your pictures, but especially here. For some reason he looks very unconcerned with everyone aound him, despite the fact that (or maybe because) everyone seems to be fawning over him. Clearly a very popular fellow, Boromir. I wonder what he's thinking about, though. Everyone's hair is very real as well here... you could almost run your fingers through them. I really don't have any critisicm to give on this peice. It shows you know... just how much you like Boromir. It really shows in your work. Great picture overall.Again, thank you for yet another great comment. Boromir is definitely a favourite character of mine, so I'm glad that you think my work shows this off somewhat. I was pretty pleased with Sean Bean's portrayal of Boromir, as I liked the actor's work beforehand as well. But you're right, the hair colour was a bit wrong. It's described as being 'dark' in the books, and since Faramir's is later referred to as 'raven', I'd imagine Boromir to be the same. Either way, dark blonde/reddish brown is too light. | |

Practicing really does help. There's never a substitute for that.
| 16 Jul 2005 | Eva | Loading...With the description, it's so easy to pick out Boromir from the rest of the men you've put into this picture. Wow....Ah, that's good to hear. I was a bit worried about causing some confusion there. Though for some reason, people think Faramir is in this picture... | |

I really admire your pencil skills, and the way you arranged all of the images so that the piece is balanced and shaded in such a pleasing fashion.Thank you very much, and I'm glad this fits your mental image of Boromir so well .
| 2 Jan 2006 | Aryndil | Loading...Boromir exactly as I pictured him. More like Túrin Turambar. Black-haired, stern and proud. The comparison to Túrin is something I agree with, I must say. Thanks a lot! | |
