Absolutely wonderful and amazing! Where shall I start? Once again, the trees are simply brilliant - I like your way of using them to frame a scene and, in this case, to add an incredible depth to the picture! It is really like looking *into* the wood, not like looking *at* a picture of a wood.
Then, the use of colours! The picture really has a gloomy, haunted atmosphere - one can feel that this is Taur-nu-fuin and not a random forest somewhere else...
And, most importantly, the two elves are so incredibly well placed and done - almost vanishing, hardly discernible in the menacing environment, and Gwindor, who has been enslaved for so long a time, almost entangled in the tree roots... Could be symbolic. ;-) I also liked the use of details, Beleg's bow, for instance (nice hint to who he is)...
And - personal reason once again - finally one more Gwindor picture! There are far too few, but here he is.

Thank you!

Wow! Perhaps I should continually paint Gwindor images. At least that way, I know I'd be assured of a comment from you!

Well, what can I say? To receive yet another detailed comment from what appears to be the biggest Gwindor fan is a great honour. I'm glad you like this image in particular. It was a purpose of mine to deliberately engulf the two elves in the vastness of the evil wood. I didn't want them to stick out like a sore-thumb. And I think you're going along the right track, likening Gwindor to the entangled tree roots, and linking that with his enslavement. You have an eye for detail

. Again, thank you so much.
