'In Ossiriand dwelt the Green-elves, in the protection of their rivers; for after Sirion Ulmo loved Gelion above all the waters of the western world. The woodcraft of the Elves of Ossiriand was such that a stranger might pass through their land from end to end and see none of them. They were clad in green in spring and summer, and the sound of their singing could be heard even across the waters of Gelion; wherefore the Noldor named that country Lindon, the land of music, and the mountains beyond they named Ered Lindon, for they first saw them from Ossiriand.'

I did mean...I would be cold without pants, I would understand more if he was without shirt. But it doesn't matter so much, really not. It's a beautiful picture.Ah, but as I've said, he's wearing braies or leggings.

It is SO green! I know such woods. You depicted it very good, though it also bothers me, as written above... Don't you like trees?1Yes, I'm a big fan of trees -- thus the need to portray them at every oppurtunity. Tolkien is perfect for this.

So pretty. Although it's almost bothering me that he's not wearing any leggings. Ah, but he is wearing leggings...!

Awesome! I like the green in this picture. It gives it a very fresh, forresty feel. The branches of the main tree are very well painted. The Green-elf himself kind of puts my mind to Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Though, who knows? In some ways, could tales like these not have influenced Tolkien's imaginings of these wood-elves to some extent?I like Robin Hood, and I feel that the images that come to my mind when I think of it can be similar (in certain ways) to that of Tolkien. So why not? Thanks a lot!

Beautiful forest scenery! The elf's legs are a bit too short. My guess is you got intimidated by the border. Happens to me all the time, too.Ah yes, this can be quite a problem to many an artist. I hope it's not too problematic though. Thanks for the comment, I value your opinions particularly because of the beauty in your own art.

I love he’s so completely apart of his environment. He completely fits the image I have of a Green-elf.
