'That morning they lit a fire in a deep hollow shrouded by great bushes of holly, and their supper-breakfast was merrier than it had been since they set out. They did not hurry to bed afterwards, for they expected to have all the night to sleep in, and they did not mean to go on again until the evening of the next day. Only Aragorn was silent and restless. After a while he left the Company and wandered on to the ridge; there he stood in the shadow of a tree, looking out southwards and westwards, with his head posed as if he was listening. Then he returned to the brink of the dell, and looked down at the others laughing and talking.'

Yea!! A dark haired Legolas!! Well, at least as I see him in the book. That is Legolas, right? And i am guessing that Boromir is in the background?? I love your interpretations of Tolkien's work, it gives great insight to how his world comes alive and presents a different view that I would have never pictured in my mind. Thank you!And thank you for the comment. It is indeed a dark-haired Legolas that you see 12.

I know you're a massive fan of Professor Tolkien's work so I wonder could you classify, is Legolas Greenleaf actually fair haired? People usually assume so because he's a Wood Elf, but is that just an assumption? In short, yes, this is an assumption. In fact, Wood elves are much more likely to be dark-haired than blonde. As for Legolas, it's not explicitely stated either way, but I simply classify his hair-colour based on the majority of his people, as well as how I imagined him when I read the book of course.

LEGOLAS!!! *tackles him*
Legolas: Ai!! Erin! Enough already!
Me: Well excuse ME!!
Legolas: *dusting himself off* This is a very well done picture.
Me: And you look like yourself! Yay! I love it!
Legolas: You are salivating on me.

I love your interpretation of Legolas. I never pictured him the blonde little girly-man that the movies made him. This Legolas is certainly gorgeous, but he hasn't forgotten that he is indeed MALE! Wonderful 1A few too many interpretations remind me of your observations! I'm glad you like this one though...

Umm, the only critic I have, is that Gimli should be a little taller than a hobbit, hobbits being smaller.

Is it just me or does the man sitting next to Gandalf look like Nicholas Cage? Seriously, well done. I really enjoyed this picture, the detail is really great!
