'Suddenly the great beast beat its hideous wings, and the wind of them was foul. Again it leaped into the air, and then swiftly fell down upon Éowyn, shrieking, striking with beak and claw.
Still she did not blench; maiden of the Rohirrim, child of kings, slender but as a steel blade, fair yet terrible.'

JRR Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King: Book V, Chapter 6: The Battle of the Pelennor Fields

Is the little guy in the corner Merry?? He is, isnt he? Oh he is so scared! Aww, you must have read Lord of the Rings so many times! I love your art. Its so original in style and all that! I just LOVE merry! He is my favouritest character! but after looking at your gallery, i like them all so much now. The books are incredible and i never thought anybody would be able to draw pictures that were equal to the splendour of the books till now.Wow, thank you very much. That's a huge compliment. You're right, I have read the book quite a few times now 12. That may be an understatement...

Great Job! I like how you portrayed the way Eowyn and the Witch-king along with his "monster-thing." I haven't read the third book, but this was one of my favorite parts in the movie though at first I didn't think that she would actually kill the "monster-thing," I have no other name for it. Well anyway good job it looks great!!Ah, well, this scene is so much better in the book (as are most scenes to be honest with you!). Thanks for the comment.

Hmm, I always imagined the witch-king's dragon (I don't remember there being any specific name for it) a little more bird-like; but its still an awesome depiction of the scene. Hmm, well on other sites some people have remarked that it looks too birdlike. Oh well, can't win them all 12.

I really like this peice. But the only thing is, I don't know how I feel about the dragon. But oh well I still think it's really amazing.Thank you very much.

I seriously love this picture. I have seen it many times roaming these woods, and it is one of the few I always come back to. And I every time I read that part (in the books, or here) I get all shivery and goosebumpsy.. 2 My favourite part of all of Lord of the Rings. "But no living man am I!"You're right, it's certainly a good part of the book. Thanks for the comment.

I wish I could express how much I prefer this to the version of the Witch-King we got in the movies.
