'Even as he spoke thus, they heard a cry in the woods, and they stood still as grey stones, listening. But the voice was a fair voice, though filled with grief, and it seemed that it called ever upon a name, as one that searches for another who is lost. And as they waited one came through the trees, and they saw that he was a tall Man, armed, clad in black, with a long sword drawn; and they wondered, for the blade of the sword also was black, but the edges shone bright and cold. Woe was graven in his face, and when he beheld the ruin of Ivrin he cried aloud in grief, saying: 'Ivrin, Faelivrin! Gwindor and Beleg! Here once I was healed. But now never shall I drink the draught of peace again.'
Then he went swiftly away towards the North, as one in pursuit, or on an errand of great haste, and they heard him cry Faelivrin, Finduilas! until his voice died away in the woods. But they knew not that Nargothrond had fallen, and this was Túrin son of Húrin, the Blacksword. Thus only for a moment, and never again, did the paths of those kinsmen, Túrin and Tuor, draw together.'

The story about turin turambar is definetly the best.

This is a good pictureI agree. And I love how Tuor's story for a brief moment crosses that of his cousin's. Thanks a lot.

Hey, you can feel the cold by just looking at the painting! Lovely work there. Thanks a lot. I hope, therefore, that this image does pictorial justice to the notorious 'Fell Winter' of the First Age, in which it is set.

Thank you for doing such a great job on this scene, you do back and foregrounds very nicely. I love how you depicted this place to be so wintry and white, the snow is awesome, it really brings out Tuor's color. You have a real nack with painting, if only I was any good at artistry myself. Oh well, at least I have words, because with words, anyone can paint a picture. Good work, keep it up. God Bless. And thank you for such a kind comment. I agree, words can paint pictures that my hand can only dream of. I mean, my paintings are but a rough echo of the words of Tolkien, for example.

Good.I like the trees most. You have painted them so pale and that really make it look cold.(you will have to excuse me if i don´t spell it right).Your spelling was fine, in my opinion. Thanks a lot.

There is nothing I don't like about this picture! You've put so much detail and patience into the trees. I love this little part of the story - they're cousins, but they don't even know who the other is. And Turin's grief adds even more sorrow to Narn I Hin Hurin. I love the snow and the sky - so cold! Wonderful stuff 1Thank you very much. I also really like this scene, and feel sad that the two cousins never met. I reckon Tuor had the temperament to 'tame' Turin, but alas, it was never to be.

Or wait a sec...was Turin in the Sil...ah well, rather irrelevant I suppose. XDBoth Turin and Tuor were in 'The Silmarillion'. 2

Ah, Turin. That was my favorite of all the Unfinished, I believe. Really love the way you've portrayed him, and the desolation of Ivrin. Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I also love Turin's tale, but strictly speaking this is taken from the perspective of Tuor's tale. But no matter, I really appreciate your words. Thanks again.

*speechless* You just get better and better don’t you? I love how you’ve portrayed the one-time meeting between Tuor and Turin. The snowy and cold atmosphere of the picture really captures the tone of the scene, but most of all it’s your characters that bring it all together. Turin just speaks of pain and loss, and Tuor look of sympathy for his cursed cousian really speaks volumes. He knows Turin’s pain, and as his kinsman he wants to help, but he knows in his heart that he can be of no help, for his fate lies elsewhere.
