Hi, I'm Pete. 21 years old - living near London, UK.

I cannot put into words my total admiration and respect for the works of JRR Tolkien. When I first read 'The Lord of the Rings', I was in a state of awe. Immediately, all that I had ever thought potentially perfect within a story, and more specifically a fantasy novel, came to life before my very eyes. As I read, I simply fell in love with Middle-earth.

Once finished, I became interested in more of Tolkien's work, his world of Myths and Legends, which eventually led to my reading of more of his writings, most notibly 'The Hobbit' and 'The Silmarillion'. Ever since, I have dedicated my time to illustrating scenes of such fantastic literature, and trying to capture in visual format the magic of these incredible tales of courage, heroism, romanticism and mythical splendour. I only hope that my work can at least do some justice to the brilliance of JRR Tolkien (though I'm the first to admit that I haven't yet the technical ability to put on to paper exactly what I imagine when I read), and hopefully even pursuade those who have not yet read his work to do so -- it is an inspiration.
