This is an original Alien creation based on the Aliens movies, comics and action figures.  The Big Bad Wolf, on the other hand, may be in public domain at this point.  He was originally an element of German and Russian folklore and has persisted in our storytelling down through the ages.  ^_^

So for this exercise I made an inky mess, and I used a brush for the dark bits.

I don't ususally use a brush and ink for my projects, but this time I wanted that blasted Alien to be BLACK.  Black as the Lord of Hell's hairy toe-pads.  Black as the mucus inside the ebon shell of the snails that live in the dread pit of N'kai.  THAT black.  So yes, I used a brush and India ink.  Then I did some detailing with my Zigs.

This is an illustration of the final moments of the life of the Big Bad Wolf of "Three Little Pigs" fame.  The story in question was written by the hideously talented mind of DeviantArt buddy Squidink and is titled "Chinny Chin" I highly recommend it for its hilarity.

I may or may not color this one.  I'm still debating - right now, I think it looks damn keen in black and white, but I, being a colorist and a fickle female besides, may end up coloring it later.

This is fantastic!! I agree with all of the people who have been saying that the wolf's expression is great. I also really like all of the little details in the alien. I like the simplified background, because it doesn't take away from the rest of the picture, it really makes the wolf and the alien pop out. Great picture, I really like it!!

Wolfie just wants a cup of sugar, if the big snarly-drooly Alien doesn't mind... XD

Hehehe, that's just quite silly, Rachael, and definitely more than the wolf bargined for. You captured the perfect moment for the illustration ^_^

You might try tweaking the Levels a bit in Photoshop to see if you can eliminate some of the splotchiness in the solid blacks. That's the only critique I have 2

Priceless. Though at this point I'd start feeling sorry for the pigs, too.
