Tag As FavoriteComment		This is Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling; modified somewhat from the overwhelming visual impetus of the four movies, naturally.  ^_^

Harry Potter fandom: Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry - my *other* favorite adult character. To be perfectly honest, I think I like them all...

My original premise was, "What would Dumbledore be like if he came to visit a Sci-Fi/Fantasy convention?"

This goofy thing is my answer. He is Well-Equipped with magically-powered gadgets, canvas tote bag, MP3 player and convention badge. And oh yes, let's not forget the epitome of sci-fi geekiness, the twirlibob on top of his hat.

This was enormous fun to color. Took about six hours. I used pen and ink, watercolor and colored pencil.

Good natured and somewhat prcatical insanity is what you mean. I wish I could levitate all my little sundy accoutrements so I didn't have to hold my cell phone tucked under my chin, a stack of notecards in one hand and flipping them with my mouth because I have a cup of coffee in the other hand, with my books balanced on my head and in my tote. I've actually gone to class that way before. I lacked the beanie though. In order to be truly awesome, one must have the beanie.
