SciFi and Fantasy Art HP Marauders: Padfoot, FETCH!! by Rachael Mayo

Trade piece for DeviantArt buddy MacElbereth.

This picture features characters Lily, Remus, Peter, James and Sirius (as Padfoot) from the Harry Potter universe, but is not anything specifically from the canon story arc.

MacElbereth wanted a Marauders-era piece that most definitely did NOT include Severus Snape. He's been done to death, and there's the truth of it! So I focused instead on the fabulous foursome (Remus on the left, Peter covering his eyes, James tossing the magic wand, and Sirius - aka "Padfoot" - fetching it), plus Lily Evans.

So James says, "Padfoot, FETCH!!!"

Off bounds the huge black dog. The dog leaps up into the air to catch the wand in his teeth, and the wand, being a sensible sort of magical artifact, vouchsafes strenuous objection to being handled in such a disrespectful fashion.

Lily stalks right up to James' other two friends and simply gives them both a look of disgust. How could the possibly act so thunderstruck? James pulls this kind of malarkey all the time!

She shoves the two boys aside, grabs James by the lapels and growls with almost as much menace as the average werewolf, "James Potter, exactly whose wand was that?!"

James doesn't have a chance to answer, for the terribly offended wand has just turned "Padfoot" into a three-hundred-pound, lime-green Jell-O mould...

HA HA HA HA HA that’s sooo... funny except for the fact that lily loos like she wants to kill james. but they all look like they’re having the time oftheir lives, especially padfoot! why do i have the feeling that the wand padfoot’s fetching belongs to snape? Rachael Mayo replies: "My original notion was that, yes, Padfoot is running off with Snape’s wand. The gal who requested the piece, however, said "ZOMG NO MORE SNAPE!" So it’s now Padfoot’s wand that is terribly offended and ready to turn him into a large green Jell-O mould."
