My first try at painting something completely from scratch in photoshop that actually turned out halfway decent. The colors are still eye-hurting, but I love it just the same... =) <-- scary face.

Wow, lookit them colors...is that another gryphon flying in the background? He looks like he's going for another shot at the 'waterslide'.

:-) Rachel A. *~*Wolf Eyes*~* McCausland replies: "Yay! someone noticed the other one! *grin* thanks to ya, and good job. Yes, that is another gryphon. *gives Jason candybar*"

Dude. This is great. Wow. It's the best one in your gallery! The gryffin looks amazing, yes, I love his eyes. The lighting is inspiring and the colours are beautiful. It was definately worth 10 hours on the computer. Congrats! Amazing stuff! Oh, and *first comment dance*

:-) Rachel A. *~*Wolf Eyes*~* McCausland replies: "Ah, I feel special now. *giggles* Thank you so much for your comment! Stuff like this makes me feel all warm and tingly and stuff...m'hm. *nods*"

I love the bold, vivid colors you used! The fine texturing is excellent, and yes, a splendid eye.

:-) Rachel A. *~*Wolf Eyes*~* McCausland replies: "And I thought those colors were too bright...heehe...glad people likes it. ^_^ thanks!"

Hey girl it was worth it! This an awesome picture!!! Its the best ever!! The colors are great! The griffin guy is purtty too! Good job!

:-) Rachel A. *~*Wolf Eyes*~* McCausland replies: "^_^ thanks!"

and I don't think the colours were too bright. For the landscape especially it feels like an ultra-bright version of fall, but it works with the grif's feathers and it makes it more fantasty-ish, like something from the Blessed Realm (if you've ever read lotr which is WAY better than HP 10)

:-) Rachel A. *~*Wolf Eyes*~* McCausland replies: "Well I have read lotr..but not the silmarillion or any of that, just the trilogy and the hobbit. But I prolly will read the others someday."

worth it.

aiieee, mouse!?!?! You poor girl.. your poor hand... *gives you a blackberry pie* Absolutely beautiful. And I DO love his eye, the eye itself makes the pic worth seeing. Good job with the shadow under the eyelid, and with not making the eye-shine a "spotlight".

:-) Rachel A. *~*Wolf Eyes*~* McCausland replies: "*grins and takes blackberry pie* I'm so happy! *glomps* you're so nice!"
23 Oct 2004:-)
oooh, you spelled Silmarillion correctly! ^___^ Hee, I'm such a blatant geek. Silm's a good book... I've never read through the whole thing *shifty eyes* But I will! Really I will! XD
