you're concepts are really great, that's probably the writer in you...
but is Swanson a japanese name? i think that if you were not japanese and you wanted to sell manga style pictures, you would not get very much respect from other artists.
this doesn't mean that you should quit drawing what you love, but exploration of other artistic styles is awesome for every artist.
Anyway, you never know, anime is hot right now, who knows.

(Sorry Reicheru,but it is true!) And Swanson isn't Japanese,although it is a nice name. ^_^ Reicheru's my friend from school,just so all you reading know. I got better over night and now I can draw even better!
Get this I went to church and I brought my sketch book for the first time(some of my other friends do it)and I just started drawing a beautiful GUY!(i wasn't good at guys before). I am going to submit some of my new artwork today.
(it won't appear on my site until a couple of weeks.

I love your ideas and concepts. yes, you do need work. but we all must work toward our dreams. you are obviously a brave and imaginative woman. you are seeking to become more, strive, practice, love your work, love what you draw, all talent is a gift from God. Grow Rachel,and fight the good fight. you dont suck, and dont EVER give in to it!!!! we all came from somewhere.
P.S. Love the sock goblin....I knew somebody else had seen him, i was begining to feel crazy...people just dont beleive you when you tell them that stuff?!?!
