Rachael A. Tallamy

I've been drawing since I was a child.   All I've ever learned about art/drawing has been self-taught.   I still desire to go to art school, but I am busy at home with my children and hubby.

I have no particular "style".  I draw/paint whatever depending on the mood I'm in at that moment.  So, my works are very diverse and range from pretty, glittering imagery to dark and sad.  Also, my digital techniques are rarely the same, because I am constantly striving to improve, and even though I've been using Photoshop since 1998, and Corel Painter since 2005, I learn something new almost every time I open the programs.  That's what is so great for me using a digital medium.  I am not too bound by pencil and paper or oil tubes and messy canvases (as much as I love those).  I yearn to push myself and try new things all the time.  (Another reason I haven't 'perfected' anything yet.)  Most of my artwork is still sketched on paper first, and then scanned and digitally painted.

Boring history lesson:
Upon graduating from high school, I wanted a degree in graphics design or art of some kind!  But, my mother talked me into going to nursing school. I acquired a college degree in the medical field as a Registered Nurse. I haven't regretted it.

To this day, I maintain a current, valid Nursing license, but I no longer work as an RN so I can focus on my children and art.
I've been married since 1993 to a wonderful man, and we have 2 terrific sons.

And your imagination rivals my own. I do have a little bit of CC though. Sometimes the eyes of your characters look a bit unfocused and odd. Only sometimes of course. The last pic had purtiful eyes.
