For some reason this reminds me of a story from the "Scary Stories" books called "Room for One More"It goes roughly like this:There was a man that was staying out in the country with his friend.One night he was in his bedroom, almost asleep, and a honking woke him up.His room faced the driveway, so he looked out the window and saw a hearse with its headlights on.A man got out of the hearse and said"There’s room for one more."The next morning the man had convinced himself it had all been a dream.He went back to work in the city next week.The elevator doors opened one day and the same man from the hearse was inside.The elevator was packed but he said "There’s room for one more."Scared, he said no.After the doors closed, he heard screaming from inside.The elvator had crashed to the bottom of he shaft, killing everyone inside.
